Farhana Portrait

I wanted to shoot Farhana and her veils since I saw her Facebook photo. The day was cloudy on the schoolyard. The temperature fell from 105 to 85 after the rain. The breeze felt good. We shot 449 images in an hour with various colors of scarves. The idea was to let the light shine through the transparencies while letting the wind blow freely. After the first 100 shots, I discovered that sitting on the ground, while pointing the camera up, allowed the sky to achieve all the desired effects without effort. I had so many good shots that I composited some of them in Photoshop. So if you are 40 years old and want to look 20, invite me over for a visit.
